‘Water’ hitmaker Tyla nominated for the BET Soul Train award

Billboard Top 40 performer Tyla is a nominee for Best New Artist at the 2023 BET Soul Train Awards.

BET Networks unveiled the nominations for the 2023 Soul Train Awards.

The day after she disclosed that she was in Jamaica on X, the old Twitter platform, the South African celebrity got the news.

The singer tweeted the word “Jamaica” along with two images of herself—one in the studio and the other someplace on the island she did not identify—with her song “Water,” which is presently number one on the Billboard Afrobeats Chart.

The winners will be revealed at the yearly ceremony, which is scheduled to be at an unidentified new location in Los Angeles. On Sunday, Nov. 26, at 8 PM ET, the recorded ceremony will air on BET and BET Her.
