Nigerian lecturer storms bank with ‘Ghana must go’ bag to withdraw his 8 months salary in arrears (video)

Recall that on Tuesday, the Federal Government agreed to pay the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) the salary arrears owed for a period of eight months.

Nevertheless, a Nigerian lecturer caused a disturbance at a bank after hearing the news in response to claims that the FG had paid their outstanding salaries when he showed up with a Ghana Must Go bag.

It announced; “Universities to reopen 17th October 2022 as Federal Govt agrees to pay the outstanding 8 months’ salaries.

“Revitalisation and salary arrears have been cleared. Although the issue of UTAS is not finalized, for now, ASUU members have agreed to resume October 17th.”

The day after the news emerged, a professor at an undisclosed university attacked his bank with a sizable bag in order to withdraw his whole unpaid salary for the previous eight months.
